2022 CAT Exam

The CAT, an acronym for the Common Entrance Test 2022, is the required entrance examination for the MBA program admission to all the 20 IIMs, along with MDI Gurgaon, FMS Delhi, IIT Bombay, SPJIMR Mumbai, NITIE Mumbai, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, and several other top business schools in India.

Every year, over two lakh students take the CAT Examination to explore admission opportunities in MBA programs provided by IIMs and numerous other finest MBA institutions in India.

The following are some of the key points about the examination:

  • A computer-based examination was carried out in over 150 test cities and more than 400 test locations.
  • Since 2020, the CAT examination time has decreased from 3 hours to 2 hours.
  • The test is broken into three parts: Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning.
  • Each examination section must be completed within a specific time frame.
  • IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management) would only take 2022 CAT scores for admission and won't accept any other exam scores.

CAT 2022 Answer Key: What Is It and When Is It Released?

The CAT exam answer key is given to ensure exam transparency and assist applicants in cross-checking their solutions with the right answers. On 1 December 2022, IIM Bangalore declared the CAT answer key 2022 on the official CAT web portal. You may obtain your CAT 2022 answer key from the official website of CAT by simply logging in with your CAT user ID and password. The 2022 CAT response sheets are published individually for each of the three slots to allow CAT examination takers to raise and register objections to answers that look incorrect to the exam takers.

CAT 2022 Cutoff

The minimal CAT percentile necessary to take part in the MBA admission procedure of IITs, IIMs, and several other colleges accepting CAT scores is known as the CAT cutoff.

To qualify for MBA admission, applicants must pass the overall and sectional cutoffs. The qualifying 2022 CAT cutoff for admission to the class of 2023-2025 will be announced by the individual IIMs to select applicants for the Group Discussion/Personal Interview rounds.

CAT Percentile Predictor 2022

The percentile predictor for CAT 2022 is a tool that computes your likely percentile figure depending on factors such as the number of tries, accuracy, etc. You'll be able to learn your sectional and overall performance with the 2022 CAT percentile predictor and organise your next course of action appropriately.

In general, your CAT percentile is determined by three significant factors: the total number of test-takers in the 2022 CAT, your performance compared to other applicants, and the difficulty level of the specific sections and slots. The percentile predictor will provide an accurate estimate of your predicted percentile based on these characteristics.

You should utilise the predictor as soon as possible after taking the examination. The accuracy of your computed percentile is determined by the accuracy of your reported tries, correct answers, and so on.

CAT Percentile Predictor: How to Use It?

Simply type “percentile predictor for CAT” on a web search and choose from a wide list.

The instructions below will help you use CAT Percentile Predictor correctly:

  • To access the CAT Percentile Predictor, you must 'sign up' if you are not already registered.
  • After you log in, you will be instructed to fill out the necessary information.
  • You will be given your overall and sectional CAT percentiles after entering your number of tries and a rough estimate of correct answers.
  • Following that, you will learn about the many college alternatives available.
  • Finally, you will receive professional advice and B-school coaching to apply to your dream institutions.

The percentile predictor will provide an estimate of your CAT percentile. Top business schools consider your sectional percentile and overall percentile on the test. So, provide accurate information to the predictor.

Percentile Vs CAT Score

To determine the relevant percentile, CAT scores are normalised. As you are aware, the CAT percentile is used to shortlist applicants for the subsequent selection processes. The normalisation approach is primarily used to achieve comparability across test papers and variance in CAT questions between sessions. This allows the performance of all applicants to be evaluated appropriately. On average, CAT scores 115-122 correlate to a percentile of 99.5 or above.
