The FMS (Faculty of Management Studies), Delhi University, will shortly begin accepting admission to its MBA course for the batch of 2023-2025. For entrance, the institute exclusively accepts CAT scores. Those who took the 2022 CAT examination can fill up the FMS application forms, which will soon be available on the institute's official website.
Following the 2022 CAT results announcement, the shortlisting for GD (Group Discussion), Extempore, and PI (Personal Interview) will take place in February 2023. In April 2023, the General Discussion-Personal Interview Extempore round will take place.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the GD-PI and extempore rounds for the 2020-2022 cohort were cancelled, and applicants were selected for admission based on the remaining requirements. In 2021 and 2022, the PI was held online, the GD was replaced with an in-camera Extempore, and the Statement of Purpose was added to the selection criteria.
According to the 2023 FMS admission policy, PI and Extempore will be held, and applicants must submit a Statement of Purpose.
FMS Delhi Cutoff: All You Need to Know
FMS Delhi CAT Cutoff will be published tentatively in January 2023. On 27 November 2022, the CAT test was held. The FMS Delhi MBA Cutoff 2022 is generally around the 98.3 percentile. FMS Delhi issues a composite score, and candidates are invited to the personal interview based on the composite score cutoff for every reserved category.
The projected FMS Delhi cutoff percentile of 98-99 in the 2022 CAT test might be critical. For MBA 2022-24 admissions, a minimum 53.851 composite percentile was required in the 2021 CAT test for general category applicants.
The institute provides an MBA program with a variety of specialities. Students applying for admission must achieve the minimum FMS Delhi MBA cutoff 2022 criterion and perform well on the entrance examination. The CAT exam is the only acceptable MBA admission entrance test.
Students who fulfil the cutoff required for FMS Delhi will be invited to the Personal Interview phase. The ultimate selection to the institute, however, will depend on the composite scores, which are determined based on the score of the CAT examination, academic profile, Personal Interview performance, extempore, and so on.
Surprisingly, the composite score used to choose candidates for interviews only includes the CAT exam percentile and the gender diversity points. Unlike numerous other top B-Schools, FMS Delhi doesn’t evaluate prior academics and job experience for interview shortlists. Hence a high CAT percentile nearly guarantees a call from FMS Delhi, with female candidates having an even better chance.
The composite score is generated by allocating weightage to various sections of the CAT. Verbal and Reading Comprehension has a maximum weightage of 40%, while the other two parts (Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability) each have a weightage of 30%. Female candidates receive an additional 5 points.
