The Bright Minds Scholarship Test (BMST) is Sunstone's independent merit-based scholarship examination open to aspirants, admitted students, and droppers — at any stage of their journey. It offers up to 100% of the total programme fee as scholarship, evaluated purely on test performance with no academic history considered.
- What is the difference between SAT and BMST at Sunstone?
SAT is mandatory during admission and offers up to 50% of the programme fee based on academics + test score. BMST is optional, open to everyone, evaluated on test performance only, and offers up to 100% of the programme fee. If you receive both, you keep whichever amount is higher — they cannot be combined.
- Who is eligible to take the BMST?
BMST is open to aspirants currently applying, students already admitted at a Sunstone partner campus, and droppers — irrespective of their current admission stage. There are no academic score requirements to register.
- What is the BMST exam format?
The BMST consists of four sections: Aptitude (Apti), Logical Reasoning (LR), Verbal Ability, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The test is proctored, medium difficulty, and evaluates only your test-day performance — not your Class 10, Class 12, or entrance exam scores.
- How many times can I appear for BMST and how often is it conducted?
You can appear up to 3 times before reporting to campus. BMST slots are available twice a month — you choose your preferred date at the time of registration.
- How long is the BMST score valid?
Your BMST score is valid for 15 days from the date of your result. Apply your scholarship within this window — after 15 days a fresh attempt will be required.
- How much does BMST registration cost? Are there any discounts?
BMST registration costs ₹500 per attempt via the dedicated BMST platform.
- How much scholarship can I earn through BMST?
BMST offers up to 100% of your total programme fee based on your test performance. The scholarship amount is determined by performance-linked slabs — higher your score, higher your scholarship. The exact amount will be reflected in your offer letter.
- Can I combine my BMST scholarship with my SAT scholarship?
No. Both scholarships cannot be combined. Your offer letter will show both amounts side by side — you keep whichever is higher.
