The Common University Entrance Test or CUET is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for enrolment into undergraduate courses in 44 central universities and 28 state universities across the nation. 

The CUET 2022 will be conducted between July 15, 2022, to August 10, 2022. The application forms for CUET exam date 2022 were released on 6th April and the two correctional windows were provided by the NTA from 27/5/2022 to 31/5/2022 and 23/6/2022 to 25/6/2022. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to fill CUET form 2022 is that students must pass 10 + 2 from recognised boards across India. However, some individual universities may put in a benchmark cut-off for the students they will intake.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The CUET 2022 syllabus is divided into the following parts: 

The exam will consist of 4 sections 

    • Section IA - 13 languages
    • Section IB - 19 languages
    • Section II - 27 Domain-specific subjects
    • Section III - General Test

The test will follow the MCQ pattern and there will be a total of 175 questions out of which 140 need to be answered

Candidates can choose maximum 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB together

The admit card for CUET 2022 examination can be downloaded from the official website of the national testing agency as soon as it is released. To download the admit card, follow the steps below 

  • Students have to visit

  • Enter your details and application number
  • Your hall ticket will be displayed on the screen. Download it and take a printout

Preparation Tips

The recommended strategy to excel in this examination is as follows: 

  • Divide your preparation into parts like giving tests.
  • Give mock tests in order to familiarise yourself with the pattern of the examination.
  • Work on your weak areas after analysing the results of your mock test.
  • Keep revising the syllabus so you can be at your best on the day of the exam.

The exam concludes on the 20th of July, and after the declaration of results, which will be posted by NTA tentatively in the last week of July, the counselling process will begin.

Yes, there is a negative marking scheme following the 1-0.25 criteria. For every wrong answer, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks.
