The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 is scheduled from the 15th of July to the 10th of August 2022. The CUET form 2022 was released on April 6, 2022, and the two correctional windows were offered by the NTA on the dates of May 25 to 31, 2022, and June 23 to 25, 2022.

CUET 2022 Exam Pattern

To summarise the exam pattern briefly: the CUET 2022 syllabus consists of four sections: section 1A, section 1B, section 2 and section 3. In section 1A there are 13 languages out of which the student has the choice to opt for the paper of his liking.

The student has to give one section, 1A section, or 1B. Section 1B contains 20 languages apart from section 1A the papers have 50 questions per language and a minimum of 40 questions have to be attempted, and the duration of the paper is 45 minutes each.

The second section of the CUET paper is domain-specific and there are 27 subjects that the students get to choose from. The subjects include Accounting, Biology, Business Studies, History, Mathematics, Physics, etc. All the subjects create an exhaustive list of courses from which the students can now pick.

And section 3 is a general test containing 75 questions out of which a minimum of 65 questions has to be attempted. This paper is for 1 hour. This paper consists of aptitude, general knowledge, etc.

 The CUET 2022 syllabus is divided into the following parts: 

The exam will consist of 4 sections 

    • Section IA - 13 languages
    • Section IB - 19 languages
    • Section II - 27 Domain-specific subjects
    • Section III - General Test

The pattern will be MCQ test and there will be a total of 175 questions out of which 140 need to be answered

Candidates can choose maximum 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB together

Since it is confirmed by the official sources that the paper is going to happen in the online mode, it is recommended for a student to practice on a computer or the nearest similar interface that they can find till the CUET 2022 date.

CUET 2022 Admit Card

  2. Scroll to the bottom and locate the “Download Admit Card” Option
  3. You will be taken to the login page of the portal
  4. Enter your details and registration number
  5. Download the admit card and carry a printout of it for the exam.

The students are also advised to follow the instructions stated on the admit card. When the admit card is released, prior to the CUET 2022 date, there are several specific instructions that the student must follow in the examination centre. Such as it is recommended that the students must reach an hour before the examination centre; and the students won't be permitted inside the centre until 15 minutes after the commencement of the exam.

1. How many times is the CUET conducted in a year?

The CUET is conducted once a year and there are 500 + centres across the nation that accept the exam for admissions.

2. What is the pattern of the CUET 2022 exam?

The CUET 2022 examination will be online and will follow an MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) pattern.

3. Where to practice mock tests?

If you don't want to get enrolled full-time in a coaching institute, it is recommended that you take some mock test series, so that you may be able to familiarise yourself with the pattern and practice the paper multiple times before attempting the final one. Several mock papers are available online to solve.

4. What will be the timings of the paper?

The slot 1 papers will be held from 9 AM to 12.15 PM. And the slot 2 papers will be held from 3 PM to 6.45 PM.

5. What are the things that I need to carry to the examination centre?

Carry your admit card, id proof which can be PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter id etc.
