The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is a gateway for students aspiring for undergraduate engineering and architecture programmes (B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch/B.Plan) in India. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), it is a computer-based exam (except for the drawing portion in architecture) that evaluates candidates across physics, chemistry, mathematics, and in some formats, aptitude or drawing. Registration is the first official step in this process, and correct, timely registration is vital — missing deadlines or making errors can lead to disqualification or delays. This article outlines the JEE Main 2026 registration process in full: notification dates, eligibility, fees, documents required, step-by-step filling of the form, important tips, and after-registration steps.
