SNAP stands for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test. It is a common entrance test for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University institutes in Pune, India. Candidates who wish to apply for these programs are required to take the SNAP exam. The test is usually held once a year, in December. It consists of multiple-choice questions in general English, quantitative aptitude, general awareness, and analytical and logical reasoning. SNAP is one of the very popular MBA entrance exams in India.

Expected Cut-Off for SNAP

The expected cut-off for SNAP this year will be approximately 98.5 percentile for admission to SIBM Pune and admission to SIBM Bangalore, the expected cut-off is 90 percentile. The SNAP cut-off marks depend on various factors like the number of applicants, the level of difficulty of the exam, the applicable level of reservation, etc.

  • The candidates who appear for the SNAP exam in 2022 can expect the cut-off for SIBM Pune to be around 98.5 percentile. Admission to SCMHRD Pune will be around 97 percentile while the cut-offs for SIBM Bangalore are expected to be 90 percentile. 
  • Other SNAP exams colleges like the SSMC Bangalore, SCIT Pune, and SIMS Pune will have cut-offs ranging from 70 to 80 percentile.
  • Those who are looking for a cut-off between 80 and 90 percentile, can opt for SICSR Pune, SIOM Nashik, or SITM Pune.
  • For the preparation of the final merit list, the results of the SNAP exam have 50% weightage.

SNAP Marking Scheme 2022

The SNAP exam is for 60 minutes and in the exam, you will have 60 multiple-choice questions. All of these questions have equal value and carry one mark. The total marks for the exam are 60. There are 3 sections in the exam, and there is no time limit for each section. If you choose an incorrect answer, there is a ¼ mark negative marking.

SNAP 2022 Selection Process

The score of the SNAP 2022 is declared and the institutes will not start shortlisting the candidates as per the cut-off lists. Some of the components of the SNAP exam other than the exam are GD, PI, and WAT. The process of selection will tentatively begin in the 2nd week of the month of February and will conclude in the 4th week of the month. The schedule of the PI, GD, and WAT will be declared later.

The merit list for the SNAP exam will be declared by the SNAP institutes in the month of April 2023 tentatively. The official website will feature the merit list as well as the waiting list.
