The application process for the WBSET (West Bengal State Eligibility Test) 2023 has been concluded successfully. The applications for WBSET were invited online for the process of selection of Assistant Professors for the state of West Bengal. The WB SET exam date is January 8th, 2023. The WB SET admit card will be available online two weeks before the examination.

The notification for the WBSET exam 2023 was released in August. The PDF containing all the information regarding the examination was available online. The examination schedule is set, but some dates are yet to be announced.

The WBSET examination is conducted by the West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC). The examination is conducted in two different sessions. Paper I is common for all aspirants, whereas Paper II is only for candidates from 33 different subjects. The candidates who score the minimum qualifying scores will be eligible to get the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across the state of West Bengal.

WB SET Syllabus

The WBCSC prescribed the WB SET syllabus for Paper I and Paper II. Paper I comprises subjects related to Teaching and Research Aptitude. The syllabus for Paper II differs as per the subject from the 33 different subjects. The candidates are advised to study all the subjects in detail before appearing for the WB SET exam.
