DU Admissions in 2023 - Enrolment Process

Delhi University (DU) offers a range of courses, including undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil, and Ph.D. programmes. There are around 91 colleges associated with Delhi University, categorised as North Campus and South Campus colleges. DU Admission Through Merit

For many courses, Delhi University admission is only via merit. There is no entrance exam or interview conducted for admission. In fact, students can avail of a merit-based DU UG admission for numerous courses like B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, BBA degree, etc. Of these, admission to new-age courses like BCA, BMS, and BBA are usually merit-based unless specified otherwise.

Process for University of Delhi Course Admissions – Merit-Based

• DU admission form: Candidates are required to fill out the DU admission form online by visiting the official website of the university. 
• DU Admission List (cut-off): Once the registration process is complete and the Board declares Class 12 results, DU releases the cut-off percentage for different courses on its website. 
• Document Verification: Candidates meeting the cut-off requirement need to visit the respective college with original documents for verification. The college offers admission only after the documents are successfully verified.
• DU Admission Fees: Within 24 hours of approval of admission, candidates are required to pay the prescribed fees online.

DU Admission Through Entrance Exams

In some courses, candidates are required to appear for an entrance exam for admission. This requirement is specified under course details on DU’s official website.

Process for University of Delhi Course Admissions – Entrance Exam-based

• DU admission form: Candidates are required to fill out the DU admission form online by visiting the official website of the university. 
• Admit Card: Post completion of registration, candidates are required to download the Admit Card as soon as it is released by the university
• Entrance Exam: Candidates need to appear for the entrance exam 
• Result: The result of the entrance exam is declared on the official website of DU.
• Document Verification: Candidates clearing the entrance exam must visit the respective college with original documents for verification. The college offers admission only after the documents are successfully verified.
• Delhi University Admission Fees: Within 24 hours of approval of admission, candidates are required to pay the prescribed fees online.

For some courses, candidates might be required to appear for a Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview for admission.
