AIMA (All India Management Association) organises the MAT Exam 2023. The MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance examination. It is conducted four times a year - February, May, September, and December. This particular test is held to provide admission to PG management programmes such as MBA and PGDM. After scoring a qualifying rank in MAT, you can apply for admission to over 600 business schools in India. Applicants can select from more than 50 exam locations.

MAT Exam for MBA: Eligibility Criteria

The following are the fundamental eligibility requirements for the MAT exam for MBA:

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognised university.
  • Students in their last year of study are also able to apply for MAT.
  • Applicants who have earned a professional degree such as CA, CS, or ICWA may also apply for the MAT test.

MAT Exam Registration 2023

The application procedure for the Management Aptitude Test is the same for the three modes - IBT, CBT, and PBT. The application form is filled out over the web. Applicants may complete the form for the MAT exam 2023 of their preferred exam phase on the official website of the AIMA. Applicants also must pay a sum of ₹1,850 (examination fees). 

Check out the following steps to apply for the MAT examination:

  • Launch a new browser and navigate to the AIMA-MAT website.
  • Go to https://mat.aima.in/ and choose the "Fresh Candidate to Create login" option.
  • Enter your name, birth date, cell phone number, email address, and password.
  • Duly complete the MAT examination form with the necessary details.
  • Choose your favourite exam format (IBT, CBT, or PBT, test cities, and 5 business schools.
  • You must upload a current passport-sized photo as well as a scanned signature.
  • To finish the transaction, pay the cost with a debit/credit card, an e-wallet, or net banking.

2023 MAT Admit Card

The admit cards of the MAT exam will be available over the web. On their official website, you'll find it for download. To download your hall ticket, applicants must enter their date of birth and registration number on the web portal's login page. The following are the methods to download your MAT exam admit card:

  • Navigate to the MAT 2023 webpage.
  • Visit the "Download/View" option.
  • Choose "MAT admit card". You'll get it by clicking the drop-down bar.
  • Punch in your birth date, email address, and password.
  • Get your MAT exam to admit card.

Guidelines for MAT Exam Day

Listed below are some important guidelines that you should follow on the day of your MAT exam:

  • Applicants for the MAT IBT mode should prepare a laptop/desktop and test their internet connection for a minimum of an hour before the exam time.
  • Applicants should dress formally for the MAT IBT mode and have their admit card and other papers ready for remote verification.
  • The MAT PBT and CBT are held from 10:00 AM -12:30 PM. Applicants must arrive at the exam center by 8:30 AM.
  • If taking the exam in PBT mode, applicants should bring a black or blue ballpoint pen.
  • Phones, calculators, electronic watches, and other similar items are not permitted at the exam centre.
  • Bring the original copy of your MAT exam admit card because a photocopy will not be accepted as legitimate ID evidence.
  • Bring the following documents to the MAT exam centre for CBT and PBT mode exams:
  • Two printouts of admit card
  • COVID-19 self-declaration
  • Valid ID proof
  • Caste Certificate (if necessary)
  • Name change proof (if any)
