The IGNOU OPENMAT syllabus is created to assess the candidates' overall aptitude in management. The syllabus for the IGNOU MBA entrance exam is not officially released, however, it is quite similar to other management competitive exams. IGNOU OPENMAT Syllabus
The syllabus for IGNOU OPENMAT XLVII preparation includes four sections General Awareness, English or Verbal Ability, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The IGNOU Openmat syllabus consists of the following four sections with a brief about the type of questions asked.

General Awareness: This section includes questions from current affairs, latest happenings, changes in laws and regulations, famous people, award winners, economics, politics etc.

English & Verbal Reasoning: This section assesses the candidate on their language ability. For instance, it includes questions on grammar, vocabulary, antonyms, synonyms etc.

English Language & Reading comprehension
Reading Comprehension: You will be asked to read an unseen passage and then answer multiple-choice questions from the same passage. Grammar: the questions would test your skills your language and grammatical knowledge. Questions like edition. Omission, jumbled sentences etc. will be asked. Quantitative Aptitude
The quant section is often one of the toughest sections to crack in any of the competitive entrance exam, especially management ones. Similarly, the IGNOU OPENMAT syllabus and exam is no exception to that. Reasoning
This is the section that tests you on your abstract thinking and critical thinking abilities. In addition, keep in mind that the questions in this section are of moderate difficulty and tricky. The candidates should prepare the topics such as Cause and Effect, Statements and conclusions, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding, Critical reasoning, Family tree, Statements and assumption, Visual reasoning, Assertion and reasons, and Assumption-Premise-Conclusions etc.
