The Joint Entrance Examination – Main is a computer-based test for admission to different engineering and technical programs in India. It was earlier called the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and is now the gateway to some prestigious engineering institutions in the country. 

Thousands of students fill out the JEE Main application form and apply for the exam every year to bag a seat with one of the best colleges in India.

JEE Mains Eligibility Criteria for 2023

  • There is no age limit for taking the JEE Main Exam
  • You must have cleared Class 12 in 2021 or 2022 or must be appearing in 2023 from a recognised board. If you have passed any other exam that is considered equivalent to Class 12, then you are eligible to apply too
  • You can apply for the exam for three consecutive years from the year of clearing Class 12
  • There is no minimum percentage requirement in the Class 12 exam. So, if you have been wondering, ‘Do board marks matter in JEE’, then the answer is no. As long as you clear the Class 12 exams, you are eligible to appear for the JEE Main exam.
