Tie-Breaker Guidelines

If two or more candidates get the same percentile score at the JEE Mains, then the merit is determined as per the following rules:

• The candidate with a higher percentile Mathematics score is ranked higher.
• If the Mathematics scores are tied too, then the Physics percentile scores are compared. The candidate with the higher score is ranked higher.
• If the Mathematics and Physics percentile scores are tied too, then the candidate with a higher Chemistry percentile score is ranked higher.
• If all the scores are tied, then the candidate older in age is ranked higher.
